1857 In The Muslim Historiography

The book is the last volume of a project that aimed at bringing into light the contribution of Muslim historians to the study and evaluation of the war of 1857 according to their own viewpoint. The book is primarily meant to rescue the history of Muslims in the subcontinent from the inaccuracies and prejudices that have developed around 1857 and then to represent the character and importance of this historic event for wider understanding by the people who are proud heirs of a great tradition.
