Punjabi Manual And Grammar: English-Punjabi Voc

The grammar is intended as a guide to the spoken Panjabi of the Northern Punjab i.e. The Punjabi spoken in the districts of Sialkot, Gujranwala, Lahaur, Gujrat, Firozpur and to some extent in the adjoining districts. It is a guide to spoken Punjabi, not to the Punjabi found in books, and in particular it is not meant to deal with the Punjabi of the Sikkhs, usually written in Gurmukkhi letters. The second book, An English-Panjabi Vocabulary of 5800 Words, has been issued primarily to meet the need of those Europeans who use Panjabi in their intercourse with the people of the country, ad secondarily to enable Panjabis, schoolboys and others, to ascertain the meanings of he commoner English words which they daily come across.
